Our idea
Stockholm is not just castles, churches and shopping, it is also a green city in many ways. This will be extra notable in 2010 when Stockholm becomes the European Green Capital. Eco Tours Stockholm now gives you an opportunity to discover the European Green Capital of 2010. Eco Tours Stockholm offers all-day and half-day tours to the many ecological oases of Stockholm and it’s surroundings for conference parties and other groups of people.
The tours
The tours offer organic dinners and lunches, food tasting, visits to environmentally friendly housing areas, ecological shopping with products such as eco-designed fashion, crafts and other organic and locally produced products. The tours can be taken in either English or Swedish and are operated in partnership with eco-producers from the Stockholm region, including restaurants, shops, fashion designers etc. The tours are available all year.
Eco Tours Stockholm is based on an online guide to organic and fair trade Stockholm, the asphalt flower (in Swedish). This guide has been used for the Stockholm Green Map. It has also assisted with a guide to the organic food in Stockholm, ekoSTHLM.

Susanna Elfors
Susanna has a broad experience of sustainable development and environmental issues. She has a PhD in Urban Studies at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and has worked as a consultant, at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and as a political secretary for the green party.
Susanna is also responsible for the ”asphalt flower”, the eco-guide to Stockholm. She has a broad network consis
ting of local politicians, environmental activists, green entrepreneurs, researchers and guides in Stockholm that she uses for the tours.
Tim Röhlcke
Tim who runs Ecotrip Stockholm is a partner of Eco Tours Stockholm. Tim is a skilled licensed guide who also speaks fluent German. Tim has an electric and eco-friendly boat that is used for our boat tours.
We want to provide knowledge and inspire
The climate crisis is an urgent matter, and Eco Tours Stockholm aims at providing knowledge to those visiting Stockholm, and to inspire them to strive for sustainability in their own countries. Since our customers are often politicians, technical consultants and business leaders, we hope that we will have impact.
Our own ecological footprint
We also strive to reduce the ecological footprint of the company. Eco Tours Stockholm uses green electricity and we try to recycle all our waste. The tours are carried out in the most sustainable way. Thus, we prefer tours on bike, by foot or by the excellent public transports of Stockholm. We also provide tours on a boat that uses electricity instead of harmful fuels. If we travel by bus, we try to find the most environmentally friendly one. When arranging food for the tours we always use organic food. We also encourage our customers to compensate for the emissions of carbon dioxide that their travels have caused. It can easily be done by Zero Emission.
